Re: Delve the Fourth

Aldbane readies his hammer and also moves towards the door.
I assume that is the door across the way?

Re: Delve the Fourth

The dwarves have moved just east of the door, in position to flank the three-legged beasts as they emerge to investigate. Once everyone else is ready: "Statue, if you have a way to call or summon the shaggy bears, now would be the time." If the statue cannot help, then Grampus will simply knock on the door, "shave and a haircut" rhythm.

"Stay back," Golgildir warns Georges, in case this crazy plan were to come off. He will, in any event, position himself behind the line of any fighting that ensues...

Re: Delve the Fourth

Ivar and Sigmund take up position behind the dwarves, readying their spears to attack from the second rank.
Question re: sleep spell - is it centred on the caster, or in front of him? I.e. could Catweazle cast it through the door into the room?

Re: Delve the Fourth

Kythaela is at the rear watching this as she scan both directions watching for anything that might be coming from somewhere else due to the loud noise of the statue speaking.

Re: Delve the Fourth

Since it's so crowded up by the door, Rhod will stand next to the statue (that is, also next to the secret door.)

He'll have his sword and shield out and ready.

re: Sleep
Causes 4-14 normal-types or 1 heroic-type with up to 4+1 hit dice to fall into a fitful slumber. The magic is indiscriminate and must affect the indicated number of creatures beginning with those nearest the target. The magic affects only creatures that normally sleep but no saving throw is allowed.
So, it will start with the creature you target, and start to spread out. Wiuth a 240 foot range, it will probably get all the monsters PLUS all the party. Or you may get lucky and some will stay awake. I think I would rule that the caster is immune to his own sleep spell.
