Eventually, the party is back together, sans Archie.

"And where, pray tell, has my man Archie gotten to?" asks Golguldir.

"I fear he is fallen!" Aldbane says, "One of those who was below can tell us, but we should not linger, lest more of those bird-things find us!". Aldbane eyes the double doors.

"Archie died valiantly," Rhod says, "attempting to spear the ogre while the rest of us were unsticking ourselves from that horrible pot.

"I shall raise a glass to his memory, once we're back in town."

What happened here and where did they come from

Golguldir bows his head a moment."A good Man," he says, referring to Archie. "He will be missed!"

"The bird-men attacked from yonder door," indicates Golguldir,"There were dispatched with relatively ease but had a high screech on them which would soon alert others, I am sure."
