The papers turn out to be well-thumbed drawings of underclothed elf maidens engaged in dubious acts

"Everyone stand back!" warns Grampus. He holds his breath and cautiously opens the wooden chest.

Rhod stands back, the comes forward after the chest is opened (assuming nothing happens).

The chest is locked

"Who has the key we found on the body?"Rhod asks. "And does anyone volunteer to open it? If not, I will."

Maloof drops the papers in disgust. He then goes over to the chest and tries to unlock it with the key.

((OOC: No one had claimed the key, so I just let Maloof have it if no one objects... If someone else wants their character to have the key, well, we'll just have to arm wrestle for it! ))

Fine by me, I just want the chest opened.

The chest is easily opened, revealing a reasonable pile of silver pieces, wit a handful of scattered gold pieces among them. As the chest is opened, a section of wall in the south flips open and an alarm bell starts sounding in the open hall

I thought we were at the other door. Oh, well.

"Do we garb the chest and make a run for it?" Rhod asks. "Or do we make a stand here against whoever comes?"
