As he gets to the door on the west, he sees that the corridor goes 10 feet further than the door, then has a four-way intersection, then goes 10 more feet to another door in the south. The ceiling looks clear.

Grampus approaches the intersection. He peeks around the corner to the west and east.

Meanwhile, in the rear, Aldbane will listen at the door on the west wall.

He sees corridor in both directions. There is a door in the north wall of the east section. He hears the sound of fighting coming from the door to the south!

Grampus doesn't want to get caught between fighting to the south and unexplored doors behind him to the north. "Let them kill each other; we'll come back later to mop up the survivors," he suggests. He is not opposed to trying Aldbane's door.

Aldbane nods and opens the door he was listening at.
