In the far east of the room, a section of southern wall opens up and into the room march three seven-foot tall walking bear-like creatures, They have three legs, and three arms. They wear chain shirts and are armed with giant axes and shield. One growls "These look good to eat"

'Why yes the furniture does look good enough to eat. We were just debating that ourselves. Would you like to share."

Trying to confuse these creatures till the party fan do something, fight or flight.

"Gooseberry pie, no ... eh? Eye of newt, wing of bat, two pints of milk and a loaf ... curses! Ah! Aha! A spray of colour! A spurt of raibow! A smattering of prismattering!"

Catweazle prepares his scroll of colour spray. He wants to make sure he can cast it without catching any party members. In the meantime, Sigurd and Ivar get ready to defend against the presumed homeowners.

Yikes!

Rhod prepares to fight, but won't wade in until the magic goes off (assuming he can see the scroll coming out).

But then, it's no holds barred!

Aldbane readies his hammer, waiting to see what Catweazle has up his sleeves.

Catweazle whips out his scroll and reads it, and a spray of dazzling colors splashes the room. When the splash has died down, two of the three monsters are on the ground, catatomic. The third charges Catweazle, but is intercepted by Rhod and Grampus! A stalemate ensues. Aldbane can flank the monster if he wishes

Carry on fighting! It's our job to protect the Magic User (who just protected us), and Rhod has no intention of failing at that task.

Aldbane will indeed flank the remaining beast, striking out with his hammer.
