Re: Delve the Third

"Tche! Speaking statuary? Talking totems? What magic is this? Eh? Indeed, noble Hades, who are 'they', tell us and we will endeavour to ask their intent in separating you from their fellows! What use to be a loquacious likeness with no-one to convers with?"

While muttering, Catweazle stirs the straw with his staff, wondering why it's there (or what it's covering up ...).

"Thank you," Rhod says to the statue.

Then he starts probing the straw-strewn floor with his unstrung bow. (He doesn't have a 10' pole...)

If the party remembers, there are statues in the large south corridor on the west side of the dungeon, and the floor is strewn with straw also. (It's not really "covered" as such). You do not expect any surprises under the straw, but I will keep in mind that you are vigilant and probing.

"What a fine-spoken fellow you are. Yes, I used to be with the others, but some wizard moved me here with nobody to talk to. I will tell you a secret. There is a room off this corridor, way to the south of here, that has a goblin generator. Apparently it generates goblins each day. That is all I know"

"Most educational, inspired Sir," says Golguldir, bowing to the statue. "Let us proceed south and confound this goblin generator that these halls may be less frequented by conniving sorts..."

"Goblin generator?" Rhod asks, momentarily pausing his probing. "I always knew the little sods were not natural!"

Re: Delve the Third

Aldbane reconsiders in light of the new information. "Yes, let us investigate this generator of goblins."

60 feet south of the junction, on the west wall of the 20' wide corridor, is a 10' recess that leads to a door. The passageway continues south

Re: Delve the Third

"Goblin generator? i wonder how many it generates in a day? Do we have a sleep spell, if needed? i would hate to get overwhelmed."

Serech continues his mapping duties.
