You successfully avoid all encounters and stand in front of the elevator

Wiglaff: "Let's try level 2 briefly. I'm curious where we end up on that level. Once we've established that, shall we try level 3?"

Re: Delve the 9th

You cram into the elevator, press the #2 button, and the elevator clanks down 30 or 40 feet and then stops with a *chunk*. Through the door grating you can see a large empty room

If there's nothing moving out there, Rhod will get out first. Sword and shield are at the ready.

"Agreed, level 2 first, then 3 whenever we are ready," Aldbane says as he follows into the room.

Wiglaff makes sure Wodan, Ivar, and Sigmund are close by before he steps out of the elevator & takes a good look around.

Re: Delve the 9th

You emerge in a huge room, with black floor, walls and ceiling. The elevator itself was in a bit of a recessed alcove

The room proper is 60 ' wide, with 20' on the left side of the elevator, and 30' on the right side. The room stretches 70 feet tall. You can just make out on the far wall, a passage leading from the room in the section 20' from the left wall. Along the wall where you are standing, a door is located 10' to the left of the elevator

"Friends, let's explore from here till we figure out where we are on Level 2, and then return to the elevator & try out Level 3. What do you think?"

Re: Delve the 9th

"I think we should explore this level a bit more thoroughly than that before we go down to three!" Maloof admonishes.

Maloof examines the floor, are there any signs of passage to/from any of the exits and/or a blank wall section?
