How far can he see in the sawdust room? I.e.; how far does the Darkness reach?

The only lit torch is three rooms away, so he can see nothing (he is in normal darkness, not magical darkness)

Actually, Golguldir and his two men are in this room, and they just lit a torch, so the sawdust room is lit up, but no light penetrates into the mirror room

"Keep it down," whispers Golduldir, "We don't want to attract more trouble than is necessary!"

Once he is sure that himself Rhod, Archie and Ackmann are all together and accounted for here in the sawdust room, he says: "We should rejoin the others, it won't do to be separated in this foul place! Let us form a line, hand on shoulder, and pass through the inconvenient darkness to reach them."

Serech will talk in a normal voice, "I am here, someone give me a sound I can move to. There be no sight in this infernal darkness, and I have lost my way."

If Golguldir hears Serech speaking he replies in a normal voice, "We are here, and we have light. Come toward us cautiously, if you may..." and will keep up the discourse so as to guide his able-guardian back to the group.
