"Er... which way is South?" Rhod asks. "I was brought here unconscious." But he knocks an arrow and gets ready to draw, should a shot present itself. No sense taking chances when ogres are about.

Blas joins the party for a 10% treasure share, and slots in beside Het. The party heads south, and the torchlight reveals 20 more feet of corridor (beyond the 30 drawn) ending in a door. There are doors on both sides of the corridors as well, at the 40 foot section of this 50 foot corridor extension.

"That door leads to the cavernous corridor, which could be empty, or could have roaming monsters. These side doors should be ignored. The west room is in disrepair and the east room has the invisible attackers (or at least it did the one time I tried it)

Sorry for the lack of posting. Crazy week at work.
"Why should these doors be ignored? I would not want something creeping behind us after we had passed."

Serech does not trust this alleged priest, and does his best to keep an eye on him while trying to map.

Oldtin looks at Blas warily. "Seconded. Blas, tell us why we should be ingorin' these doors?"

"The west room has nothing of value - I checked. The east room has invisible attackers - or did last time I checked. But see for yourself, there's no hurry I guess"

"I'm a bit more nervous about visible ogres than invisible attackers who stay in their room, to be honest," Rhod says. "Although either appears to be a threat."

Het says, If we're gonna fight ogres, maybe we should set a trap for 'em? No point in fighting fair. Hide on the far side of a doorway, lay some rope on the floor, dump some oil in front of it, when the ogres run in, pull the rope tight and trip 'em, then light the oil!

The little halfling's eyes light up at the thought of fooling ogres that way.

I can go scout ahead for them if you guys want.

"An intriging plan," muses Golguldir, "Let us ensure we have an open route back to the stair lest we have a need to flee! Perhaps we can use this very coridore as a fire pot? If the ogres can be goaded into this passage, and we have previously laced the floor with pools of oil, then all we need do is lob a torch down here from the entry chamber..."
Burning oil will likely do them one or two dice damage in a turn, so unless we can somehow trap them in the burning fire, they may well be able to pass though the fire to reach us, or else retreat from it to nurse their hurts....

Looks like (on Riftstone's ace map) the passage is 80ft long. Ogres move 9".
We might consider setting Sully's trip trap just inside the corridore, and/or the entry room?
