Het says, Let's open that east door and investigate. The searching can wait.

Oldtin falls in line with the group, ready to go through the east door.

Serech readies his hammer and shield, waiting for the door to be opened.

"Perhaps this key is for a chest, or coin box?"

Lawrence tugs the door open, to reveal a reasonably-sized room, 30 feet long and about 20 feet wide. Inside you see a crude bunk and some blankets, a small wooden chest at the foot of the bunk and a desk and chair. On the floor, tied up and gagged, is a short, stocky, red-headed man. In a corner is dumped a pile of adventuring gear, along with armor and weapons.

Hetwhistle says, Jackpot! Where's that key? Oh, and... uh, maybe we ought to see what that guy is whining about?

"Hidden in plain sight!" whispers Golguldir, slapping himself.

"Let us see whether Lawrence can convince this fellow to join us... but have a care that we are not meanwhile set upon from behind..."

Lawrence unties the poor soul. "So my friend by ye friend or foe of Alistair the stair warden?"

"Alastair?" he asks. "Don't know him. I was unconscious when the goblins brought me in."

He looks longingly at the pile of gear in the corner.

"Pass me my waterskin, will you, please? I'm dry as dust over here."

He tries to stand, but his legs won't take his weight just yet.

"I've been tied up like that for hours! Goblin bastards. Was that them I heard you lot killing a while back now?"

Het will grab the waterskin and hand it to the prisoner.

What's your name? And how did the goblins kill you? Don't worry about them, by the way, our mage waved his hands and they all dropped dead!

Het giggles a bit, then attempts to look serious.

"If Alistair's key will fit yonder chest, we might presume these were his... quarters." concludes Golgulgdir,"Though it looks to be rather mean living for a Man of his reputation!"

Golguldir moves across to the desk to see whether there are any letters or other paperwork on it, or if it has any drawers...
