The statues seem identical and inert. It looks like they may be made of a cheap shiny metal

Wiglaff backs carefully off the suspect floor, and then gives it a quick examination. Can he find a seam? If so, he'll try to lift the false floor up & expose what's beneath to the light.

Maloof draws everyone's attention to the statue. He does not attempt to move it yet, however!

Re: Delve the Sixth

"What did you find there, Wiglaff?" asks Franklin.

If I understand the map correctly, Franklin and Wiglaff are on opposite sides of the hollow-sounding section of floor. Franklin will help by trying to find the eastern edge, hinge, or seam of the pit trap. He is wary of trip wires or loose floor stones.

Rhod will join Maloof at the statue, either to help turn it if we decide to do that or to cover him when he turns it.

Re: Delve the Sixth

Maloof wants to wait until the other investigations are complete before turning the statue, we don't want the floor to open up beneath Wiglaff, for example!

Re: Delve the Sixth

Wiglaff steps off the hollow area, and he and Franking carefully search around and find a very fine crack running around about an 8' square. It seems like this floor might have been supposed to collapse when you stand on it, but maybe it is ruined with age, or secured somehow.

Re: Delve the Sixth

Wiglaff notes the position of the trap.

"Nobody step here!"

He rejoins the others in the room with the statue.

"Give me a hand with this!" Maloof says to Rhod, as he starts trying to rotate the statue.

Re: Delve the Sixth

The statue rotates reasonably easily, and the section of floor that Wiglaff was looking at drops away, revealing a 10'deep pit. After 5 seconds, the floor slams back shut
