Urist give squishy a little pat and nudge to see what the dog makes of the intersection.

mgt's roll comes to 5 [5 on 1d6]

Squishy take a step or two then cocks his head to one side and wags his tail a bit and "points", all before even moving up to the intersection.,,,

Hagwen and Urist would both not a thin tripwire that cross the cave,,,,

"Do any of you know much about traps?" inquires Urist. To the dog he says, "Good dog, Squishy!" and offers a bite from his rations as a reward.

"Well there does seem to be a lot of security here. True, if we step over it we may forget it and get clobbered by a trap on the way out. Though it may be an alarm of some sort in which case tripping it will alert the owners of our presence. I am not expert, maybe someone can give a careful look at where the wire goes."

Alrik will stoop and carefully examine the wire to see if he can discern its purpose.

Alrik signals for some light and room to work. The young Wizards finds the tripwire, a solid piece of hemp twine, and follows it back to the wall. It only takes him a moment or two to figure out that it is a simple dead fall with the tripwire pulling away the support above. BY the light of the lantern he can just make a out a number of heavy logs which must come tumbling down. Simple but deadly if it falls on your head.

The party stands before the 3 way intersection, tripwire still intact. What to do?

"Let us step over it carefully so as not to alert any nearby occupants," Alrik says as he gingerly steps over the wire.

"Can we mark this place somehow so we do not miss seeing the wire on the return trip?"
