Re: 07 - Exploring Tor-Xonor

"That should even the odds!" Alrik says as he admires his handiwork for an instant, before slitting the throats of the two downed Gnolls. He'll then back away from the melee with Rik but keep his dagger ready just in case.

Phadian

Phadian looks in horror as two of his comrades take nearly lethal blows. He curses that he has just one spell to help them with. He must act and moves in to heal Urist. He will then make a cry of rage and attack whatever is attacking Rhagaer with his staff.

Re: 07 - Exploring Tor-Xonor

ooc: Cure Light Wounds takes "a turn of aid" so it's not really suppose to be melee spell.

"G-nolls? Why did it have to be g-nolls?" grunts Urist as he makes another tired swing with his hammer. He brushes off Phadian's offered healing with a brusque, "Save it for after the battle. I hate g-nolls!"

Phadian

ooc - That makes for less of a dilemma of who to heal. He will amend his action to -

He will make a cry of rage and attack whatever is attacking Rhagaer with his staff.

Re: 07 - Exploring Tor-Xonor

Round 2:

Phadian and Coln rush to Urist's aid. Rhegaer, left on his own, digs deep into his reserve of strength and attempts to kill the Gnoll quickly.

Rhegaer vs Gnoll
mgt's roll comes to 15 [15 on 1d20] - HIT
mgt's roll comes to 4 [3 on 1d6 +1] - Damage

Gnoll vs Rhegaer
mgt's roll comes to 7 [7 on 1d20] - MISS

Gnoll vs Urist
mgt's roll comes to 7 [7 on 1d20]- MISS

Urist vs Gnoll
mgt's roll comes to 9 [9 on 1d20] - MISS

Phadian vs Gnoll
mgt's roll comes to 5 [5 on 1d20] - MISS

Coln vs Gnoll
mgt's roll comes to 14 [14 on 1d20] - HIT
mgt's roll comes to 6 [5 on 1d6+1] - KILLED

Moral check: mgt's roll comes to 11 [5 6 on 2d6] +2 for Gnoll

Even wounded against an unbeatable force the Gnoll would rather die a warrior then surrender...

Round 3 (expedited)

Rhegaer attacks
mgt's roll comes to 16 [16 on 1d20] - HIT
mgt's roll comes to 4 [4 on 1d6] - KILL

The battle is over both Urist and Rhegaer took some serious wounds but the Gnolls are slain. You all stand in the large central cavern, a fire with its horrific fare roasting is in the center. There are 3 exits from the cavern; North, East, and West. You came from the West. The room itself was obviously some sort of communal goblin chamber with plenty of sleeping nooks and other signs of daily use. However it seems the the goblins that remained have fled and only the dead where harvested by the gnolls to for their, interrupted, meal.

What now?

Re: 07 - Exploring Tor-Xonor

Rhegaer takes a seat, exhausted and wounded from the fighting, and rests a bit.

| he is down to 3 hit points; any way to recover some with binding wounds? Can't remember if that is allowed in this game or not... |

Re: 07 - Exploring Tor-Xonor

"I would have been dead without you guys, I owe you all my life!" the bloody dwarf Urist expresses in stunned admiration. He settles down to bind his wounds and enjoy a swig from his wineskin.

Phadian

"I suggest we retreat to the first chamber which we checked on the way in and was empty, this current chamber has too many entrances for my comfort. There I can take an hour or so to thoroughly treat and bind both your wounds, we can then decide what next."

Alrik will quickly search the bodies of the Gnolls before the party departs.
