"I can't say for sure, I will need more time to study these items to say if they are magical or not," Alrik says to Rhegaer.

"Lets gather up anything any of us might want. 'Mule' can carry quite a bit and we can distribute the rest. It will be good to get back to town and take our time to see wht we have"

ooc - I suggest discussion of division of loot be carried out in the Treasure thread till complete. I used to do such things in email, but having the whole thread in one place should work well (I will note items spoken for with (-> name). I would not suggest recording anything down until we have agreement. Will continue Treasure division discussion in Treasure (come on in the water is fine).

"Lets get ourselves out of this swamp and back to town. We can further study the gear we found and study those maps, maybe they hold a clue as to where we may have our next adventure."

Rhegaer nods in agreement and packs up his gear. When he is ready to move out, he waits for the others...

Whilst I am waiting for the others to respond ...

"Alrik, would you be so kind as let me have a quick look at those books we found in Illmir's room. I would like to take a quick shot at figuring out what they are."

"Not at all, here you are..." Alrik says as he digs in his backpack for the tomes.

With each tome I turn it over carefully checking the cover and binding to see if there are any symbols or pictures I recognize. I then look inside and see if there is any text I can read and recognize. Not really sure what I am looking for, but perhaps there is something of use to my craft in one of them.

Hagwen

The Hag will stow away the maps of Ilmir's attack plans (making sure they don't come into contact with his severed head - she doesn't want them getting sticky...)

"Might wanna take along them suits o' leather," she adds; "Always a chance they might be magic..."

Other than that, she's ready to go.

"Do you think my help finding the secret door might be worth a few coins? (to be discussed in the Treasure thread)" asks Urist. "I ask because I could really use a trip back to town for a bath, a shave (he pats the dome of his head), a stiff drink, and a belly-full of meat... not necessarily in that order!" The dwarf's humor falls a little flat, but his heart seems in the right place.
