Coln

Aw cripe, that frog got gunk on my sword! *Wipes his sword clean*

Hmm... wonder if that frog would taste good roasted? Anyway, it's pretty unlikely that there are any other monsters nearby since this beast probably ate them all!

Re: 03 - To the Shadowmoor

Hawgen tends to Phadian while Rhegear sets about slicing up the dead Vroat. Unfortunately he finds nothing inside this beast expect some partly digested giant rats. Alrik looks on with amusement and Coln looks around the area. It seems safe enough now that the Vroat is dead.

Make Camp? Or decide something else?

Re: 03 - To the Shadowmoor

OOC - Phadian is a trained healer, so his intent in guiding Hagwen was based on his experience (e.g. was guiding her towards patching me well enough to gain 2hps, not 1hp, which would leave me at 5hps instead of 4 hps).

"Well done, friends. It should be quite safe to make camp here for now, no? I don't hear any more of those dreadful creatures."

Re: 03 - To the Shadowmoor

OOC: Nope not a DD rule, it is in the House Rule... And yes you'll get 2 hp back if you spend 3 Turns tending your wounds in this way.

By The Book:
# Healing
Lost hit points can be recovered by magical means and also by ordinary rest, albeit at a much slower rate. One hit point is regained for every two days of complete rest in which no other productive activity can be undertaken.
Which imho causes a slow down in the action as the party must flee back to town(s) to rest for prolonged periods just to remain viable. This House rule is meant to give a little bump to recovery to keep the pace going, especially given the nature of PBP.

Note: In OD&D healing is listed in Vol 3 Pg 35

Phadian

"We should be a bit safer now camping for the night, however we should post watch in pairs. I hate to impose <points at bloodied leg>, but I am going to need a good full nights sleep to let this start mending properly."

Re: 03 - To the Shadowmoor

The party slowly, and somewhat warily, sets up camp for the night. True to predictions the night passes without incident. In the morning Phaidian feels much better (regains 3hp total now 6/7).

Coln and Hagwen have a scout around in the morning light and they think the have found evidence of goblins having passed into the Shadowmoor about 1/2 a mile away.

Note: 80xp was awarded for the Vroat.

Phadian

Wakes up, checks his bandages, stands up, takes a few tentative steps around.

"That is healing nicely, what is for breakfast?"
