Hagwen's ready to go.

(In fact, knowing her, she's probably already gone... :? )

Two things in the recent round that might be of interesting to point out.

http://forum.immersiveink.com/viewtopic ... 670#p14670

1) Phadian fought defensively and was given a -2 modifier when being attacked. This is not specifically in the rules but something like that is in Chainmail [page 25 or 26 depending] and get pushed around in house rules all the time so I just went with a simple -2 versus 1 opponent.

2) Ragtoe got 2 attacks versus Phadian because he is 2HD and Phadian as a 1st Cleric is considered "normal". Ragtoe would not get 2 attacks versus Coln, Hagwen, or Rhegaer.

PS - Happy New Year to everyone!

New house rule was added to define Normal Types, and thus handle the error I made with Sleep spell :), carry on.... Post for round 4 is coming in the next hour.

FWIW -- the 4:1 HD ratio for "normals" is exactly in accordance with the OD&D FAQ article.

I mulled this over for a good long while for DD, but ultimately went with a simplified static version of that rule. No reason not to house rule it thou :)

Just FYI in attempted to make it easier to read my Combat rounds I will do the following

PC in Navy

Monsters in Red

Rolls in Green

The first part will be declared Actions
The second part will be results with the rolls. I will cut off the first line off rolls which shows my roll command and just post results.
The last part will be Status

If anyone wonders why the gobbly-gook of my roll posts look like this
eAsp:roll 1d6
mgt's roll comes to 4 [4 on 1d6]

I have perl script, which started as an IRC bot long ago, that handles all my dice rolling. It's called eAsp - Electronic Assistant Single-threaded Perl it not a great piece of code but it has served well for 10 years. If anyone wants to inspect it I'll post it up.

I figured you had a custom die roller. I'd love to see it, thanks!

I dropped a zip file here

http://www.stellarcore.net/downloads/eAsp.zip

It's unix centric but could be Windows compatible with a few tweaks (The path to the eAsp functions and save area, the call to seed srand which is super old school and could be removed in modern perl spring to mind)

Like I said was a IRC bot which had 10 more functions including a bunch of ImageMagick map code. We used have IRC clients and html based minis map. That why it has a "reload function" so it never went down if you wanted to hack on the functions. So stuff was never updated correctly not even sure what the state of attack aliases and init is any more... But it rolls dice dang it!

It seems we're alike in our preference for operating systems. No Windows in sight here, apart from the ones I look out of :). I can use this directly, so thanks again.

What a boring round! I guess it was like a ZOmbie movie where the Hero is never touched by Zombie... We need some villagers to wander in so they can get chewed on... mmm brains...

Actually in retrospect I think Phadian's prayer worked. Torgrin be praised!
