				Circle of Invisibility
(affects: 1" radius, duration: special, range: 24") All creatures within 1" of the magic-user, or any point within sight and range, are affected as per the invisibility spell. The spell does not enable affected creatures to see one another.
I am a bit puzzled by the "any point within sight and range". Can you explain this in different terms, or give an example?

"Any point" simply means "any location".
The magic-user could cast a circle of invisibility spell centered on himself, or centered on a (visible) door up to 24" away, or centered on an arbitrary point in mid-air anywhere up to 24" away--so long as it is visible within line of sight.

Gotcha - I was reading the spell with my AD&D glasses on and didn't pat attention to the wording closely enough
