Aldbane can open the door again and stand aside, and Wiglaff can fire off the wand from right in front of the door? That should at least soften the creature up if we want to engage it after that.

I'd say to arrange ourselves in Room #20, to shoot through the door into room #19 if anything exits the new room into room #19 and comes at us. We can alternatively throw the rope into room #19 and slam the door (leaving us 'safe' in room #20), depending on what exactly happens when the door opens....

The area to the north of #19 looks close and might lead us to an area normally blocked by the flame room.
