He feels metallic ridges what might be writing; perhaps an ancient script that can only be read when the metal is heated red-hot? The decrepit Elf may be old [con 5], but an inner well of magic sustains him with adolesce...

Highbough invisibly chuckles to himself as Olaf is overcome by the potent Dwarfish brew. He continues to stand guard at the door. Do his keen ears detect anything unusual? Are there any windows, keyholes, or cracks that he can catch a glimpse of what is going on outside?
