Re: (053) Moonshine

"Dusk is when animals come to water to drink," Dieter muses, getting out his sling and bullets. "Olaf, what say you take up your bow and join me?"

he goes down near the stream(s), seeking out any sign of animal tracks while letting his eyes adjust to the darkening sky.

Re: (053) Moonshine

When Dieter wakes up, he takes a walk around the perimeter of the camp. First, he circles it from close nearby, then he moves 20-30 yards out and circles it again. He looks both inward and outward, seeking both signs of potential trouble and possible defense works. Satisfied that the camp is all tha...

While that would be great, how are we to know which direction you are going? What with you being invisible and all.

Re: (053) Moonshine

"It would seem you have yet another admirer," Dieter says with a grin (his first grin in a while, it seems).

"If we're leaving, I say we go immediately. I'd like an elf or other sharp-eyed person to take the lead."

Re: (053) Moonshine

"I say we camp outside the abbey," Dieter says. "Wolves and such we can deal with, if we keep a good watch. But I'd hate to be asleep and have another of those oozing things sneak up on us." He looks around. "I'd also like to be able to keep an eye on the abbey, but that's o...

Re: (052) Reckoning the Abbey

Olaf says to Dieter, "Here, let me carry him. I'm less useful in a fight without my armor, and that way you'll be unencumbered." If Dieter aggrees, Olaf puts the halfling on his back, piggy back style, "Oof! One of you has bad breath." he comments. "Good thinking," Die...

Re: (052) Reckoning the Abbey

Dieter arrives, and he and Gustave shoulder the hobbits, whose noggins are then nearer to the ceiling that would be ideal as the pair of fighters carry them out of the reliquary... This is exactly why Dieter planned to carry the hobbit(s), at least until we're up the stairs. Grinding their heads ag...

Re: (052) Reckoning the Abbey

Having thus far heard no foes approaching from below, Dieter reenters the chamber to respond to his name. "Am I to be a warhorse, now?" he asks, then notices the small heads all turning vaguely, sightlessly, in his direction. "I'll carry the double-header, since they're still blind. B...

Re: (052) Reckoning the Abbey

Since he doesn't feel like he can help at all either upstairs or in the chamber of blinding, Dieter will maintain a position on the stairs, below the trapped one, keeping an eye and ear out for anything approaching from below.

Anyone who needs him has but to shout.

Re: (052) Reckoning the Abbey

Has the congestion at the top of the stairs lessened enough that Dieter can get up there now? If so, he does (again, avoiding the bad step).
